Meet The Faces Behind Crittendon Home Care

I’m Kerri Crittendon, and along with my husband, Sean, are the proud owners of Crittendon Home Care.

I look forward to sharing our story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know us better.

I’m a registered nurse with over twenty years of Geriatric experience. I’ve also worked for four years as a long-term care manager at a health and rehabilitation facility and six years as an adjunct nursing instructor. 

Sean has worked for fifteen years in juvenile services and has served as the director of juvenile services for the 1st Judicial District in Kansas. He was also the executive director of the Boys and Girls Club of Atchison for five years. 

We both felt a vital need in our community for senior citizens to receive safe and quality assistance in the comfort of their own homes. It inspired us to set up a home health care agency in 2018.

Over the past three years, we’ve witnessed tremendous growth. Consequently, we’ve gone from working out of our home as a couple, to opening offices in downtown Atchison and Leavenworth while employing over fifty employees.

Besides, when we began, we only accepted private pay clients, but now we also accept Long-term Care Insurance, Kansas Medicaid Waiver Service clients, and United States Veterans Administration(VA).

It made us proud to become an approved United States Veterans Administration provider as it empowered us to serve Military heroes that often get forgotten about after sacrificing so much for our country.

It’s also exciting to be involved in every aspect of our business, from networking with like-minded individuals to having the complete creative freedom to serve clients.

We enjoy fulfilling our clients’ wish of helping them stay at home versus going to a facility. We also connect with clients on a personal level and match them up with the perfect caregiver.

Besides, we relieve the stress of families by educating them about home care, connecting them to available payment sources, and diligently looking after their loved ones.

Therefore, we work with integrity and what sets us apart from the others is our honesty, as we take accountability for our actions which build trustful relationships.

I also attribute our success to our seamless husband/wife teamwork, which helps us overcome challenges confidently. Besides, we strive to continuously learn so that we can improve and render quality homecare services.

When we’re not organizing homecare, we like to travel, attend our kids’ sporting events, and take our Portuguese Water Dog (Esky) for walks.

We also volunteer to help others in need as we like to do our bit to make the world a better place. We live by the bible verse Phillippians 4:13, ‘I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.’ 

I have enjoyed sharing our story about the things which matter to us and how they influence the way we do business.
